All Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) in 2014 will completely stop broadcasting Radio Russia on long wave and on medium wave in the regions, as said to Digit.ru an industry source .This will be another step to reduce the broadcasting of public radio on the far broadcasting in the regions of Russia. As previously reported by Digit.ru, March 14, stopped broadcasting on longwave and medium wave radio station Mayak after which the station can be heard only in a few dozen cities, where works few transmitters on FM. Deputy General Director Sergei Arkhipov of VGTRK confirmed plans on switching off broadcasting Radio Russia on long wave and to reduce broadcasts on medium wave. He said that Radio Russia in the NE will be turned off where the radio station is broadcasting on shortwave and FM.
