This month DRM went truly global.
The DRM presence at the ABU General Assembly in Bali is definitely the highlight
of the month. The medium wave DRM demo organised by the Indonesian public
broadcaster, RRI, on this occasion from its Denpasar transmitter, ran special
content linked to this great annual event of the Asia-Pacific region.
In parallel, the Consortium was
present with expert input, including on the emergency warning functionality of
DRM, at the Caribbean Bro adcasting Union (CBU) General Assembly, held, for the
first time, in Cuba. To support the presentations, both events benefitted
from live DRM transmissions in short wave too.
If you could receive any of these
transmissions please let us know. To date we have received reports from the USA
(Atlanta and Washington DC) and Colombia (Bogota). Thanks to members of
the DRMNA group.
We also hope you have had a chance
to check the newly re-launched the DRM website including a revamped India page.
Hopefully you will find it informative, easy to use and with new features. Your
feedback is eagerly awaited to projectoffice@drm.org
By th e end of October we will
have collected all nominations for our Asia-Pacific Enterprise Award. So you
have a last chance to hear about the best entrepreneurs willing to promote the
standard and create receiver solutions.
