** CUBA. 15700, Jan 26 at 1429 check, CRI English relay is back on original
frequency, after excursion to 15750 yesterday, why? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 11670, UT Wed Jan 27 at 0039 tune-in, just as
`DXers Unlimited` is starting! This RHC frequency is not supposed to be in
English except at 20-21 UT. Now it`s synchronized // 5040 and S9+40, much
stronger than 5040. It will also have been much stronger than 6000 & 6165
for English after 0100, so dispense with all those repeats.
RHC Spanish
remains mostly music during this fill-hour, best on 13740, 11760, poor on 11840,
9535, 6075, 6060; unheard on 15230. And the alternate Spanish hour `Mesa
Redonda`, on 11950 and 6000. 11670 is also supposed to start in Spanish at 0000,
listed as Bauta site like 5040 whenever it`s on. So was this a mistake, or what?

** OKLAHOMA. 88.3, 89.1 and
94.3, Jan 25 at 2114 UT check on caradio, two Enid translators and one Enid LPFM
are still/again off the air. Vance airplane scatter sporadically bounces in a
weak 94.3 signal with Doppler flutter probably from Kansas (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)
** TIBET [non]. 11517, Jan 26 at 1422 check, JBA
carrier is still here from presumed V. of Tibet via TAJIKISTAN (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. Correxion: time on this should have
been 0655 instead of 0555, fixed:
6080, Jan 23 at 0655, VOA Greenville
with weekend rock music instead of news magazine, still operational with VG
signal, despite widespread power outages in NC. Does GB have full generator
backup capability? IIRC they do depend on local power grid normally (and defunct
Greenville-A was deliberately on a different one) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 7570, Monday Jan 25 at 2110, on BST-1
caradio, WRMI with `La Rosa de Tokio`, so the multiple repeats of the RMRC/EDXC
special since Dec 7 have finally ended, back to the originally scheduled program
during this hour. LRT is a very Argentine-oriented media show, despite the name,
this time discussing stations LU6, LU9, etc. 2140 a bit of tango. Altho LRT
includes music to pad out the hour, at 2150 recheck, it sounds like WRMI fill
music, so maybe playback crashed or it was short?
15770, Mon Jan 25 at
2147, the other WRMI frequency with Pakistan-accented English report about
cricket results, :47 past the hour TC, in `Paris Live PM` play 5 hours after it
was really live, as the full hour only goes out on WRMI Mondays and Tuesdays
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 840, Jan 26 at 1910 UT
on caradio, Rush, weak but clear and totally readable, no doubt WHAS Louisville
KY, scarcely a semihour past local mean noon here, which I get occasionally by
skywave at midday. Without it, 5 kW KTIC in NE NE can be heard by groundwave,
and surely the source of a lite ~6 Hz SAH; by 1956 UT recheck the two are about
equal level so we mostly hear the SAH (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
** YEMEN [non]. 11860, Jan 26 at 1457:00, sunset call to prayer
from R. Sana`a. I had just retuned and I think this was the start of it, but not
positive. Anyhow that would make it at least 17 seconds earlier than yesterday
at 1457:17, despite sunsets progressing later. Usual amazingly good S9+20 signal
from somewhere to here far beyond Yemen (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
