** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Oct 27 at 1510 tune-in, LRA36 is on again this Wednesday, of four Brazil SDRs, best on a Brasília, S2-S3 but buzzy/clicky, OTH radar? Slightly better than Pardinho at first, JBA at Campo. 1513 Antártida song, 1516 ID; 1527 Pardinho available and slightly better, S4-S5; often recommended west Iceland SDR at 1535 gets nothing but buzz. Usual mix of frequent IDs, brief talks, two theme tunes, variety of other music. 1558 ID, Pardinho improves to S5, less buzz; 1600 ID, historical; 1606 hielo song; 1609 La Radio Pública ID, music; 1617 ``Nacional Antártida Argentina, en todo el país, la radio pública`` fuller ID, music; 1621 contact info, ID; 1623 hielo song on `El Lejano Sur` program, past 1700 still music S5-S7; 1715 music sounds like it`s looping/vamping; 1721 hielo song, 1725 Antártida song, 1728 more music, still going as I tune out. How long more did they onstay? Sam Sánchez in Oregon was also hearing it earlier than usual at 1336 via Pardinho and also unusually with house music. I suppose their FM 96.7 runs much longer or always and who knows when they will fire the SW up or down (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 15140, Oct 27 at 1904, RHC in dead air of S4-S8 instead of English; something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) See also KOREA SOUTH [and non]
** KOREA SOUTH [and non]. 9805, Oct 27 at 2219, Cuban pulse jamming tearing up a victim, not R. Martí but KBS World Radio Indonesian hour. RM is on 9805 only at 10-13 UT but have also heard jamming against nothing in middle of night. In B-21, RM will not use 9805 at all, but KBS will use it more. Something`s always incompetent at the DentroCuban Jamming Command (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
