** CUBA. 6100, May 29 at 0545, this RHC English frequency during music is S7-S9 but modulation and carrier are breaking up rapidly. // 6000, 6060, 6165 are relatively OK. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 13567 approx., May 29 at 1355, first find the RHC horribly distorted spurblobs are back, starting here vs the Part 15 HIFER band. Out of 13700 transmitter, also 13501, 13438?, 13634, 13766, 13832, 13898, 13963, 14039? I.e. approx. 66 kHz intervals. Usual F# tone accompanying and the closer ones are somewhat readable if tuned in FM mode. Some days these are rampant, some days absent. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1932, DX LISTENNG DIGEST)
** NIGERIA. 7254.932, May 29 at 0548 tune-in, surprised to find Voice of Nigeria bigsig aimed USward on the air already and in English! Hard to follow the speaker with heavy accent, soon into music break, 0551 talking again, discussion about opulence, but cut off the air abruptly at 0553:16* --- so I guess VON was just tuning up for the 0600 Hausa broadcast.
Recheck at 0607 however, is back on and again in English, about the economy.. Talkers on this transmitter are generally very bassy, so PBT to boost the treble helps a little. May have been a special event about Nigeria`s corruption, likely back to Hausa hour hence (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1932, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NIGERIA [non]. 7220, May 29 at 0547, S9 but poor signal, presumed R. Dandal Kura, as sked this hour only, 100 kW, 167 degrees via FRANCE. Another hour I hear even less is 06-07 on 11910, ditto (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1931 monitoring: not confirmed Mon May 28 at 2330 on WBCQ 9330v, just BS, altho yesterday was gh + BS at once. Confirmed UT Tuesday May 29 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG S9+20. Just barely audible Tuesday May 29 at 2030 on WRMI 7780, sounds like gh intonation; inaudible on 5950.

** U S A. 5085, UT Tue May 29 at 0544, WTWW-2 is off again, like UT Mon, while UT Sun before and after 0600 it was running that wacky new talk show, `Southern Talk at Midnight`, so maybe it is once a week, from 0500? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1932, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 15815, May 29 at 1403, WTWW with classic rock music, S9+10 (while neighbor in more ways than one, 15825 WWCR is S9+20, both with sporadic E boost); still past 1420 and 1530. Not rechecked until 2206, when 15815 is *still* on with music, but considerably weakened. Took yesterday, Memorial Day off, unheard. Anyhow I`ve added it to the BST-1 caradio memory bank, the better to keep track of what the new frequency is doing; from this station there is little hope for anything rational, and I would not be surprised if they are testing for a new gospel-huxter client (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1932, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 7505v, UT Tue May 29 at 0253, quick check of WRNO sounds like Rick Wiles, indicating his revived `TruNews` [sic] runs 01-03 UT Tue-Sat here. WRNOworldwide website still has not put up any program schedule info since May 1 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1932, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. I`m parked a few miles N of Enid near the US 81/64/60 junxion, so do a quick bandscan for possible sporadic E DX; none here so far this year, and it`s about time. Lots of frequencies have CCI, stations fading back and forth, but I`m afraid this was just due to hot turbulent troposphere nearby. Several frequencies check out to be fringe Kansans or Oklahomans, except:
97.3, May 28 at 1953 UT, ``Q97`` ID. WTFDA FM Database leads to:
KQHN Waskom TX, but supposedly really known as ``Q97.3``, with 42 kW at 162..5 m. Waskom is right on the border west of Shreveport LA, 348 miles/559 km, rather unlikely, OR:
``Q-97`` with a hyphen (unspoken of course) would be KNCQ, Redding CA, 28 kW, 1088m, possible but far for Es, 1354 miles/2179 km; OR:
``Q 97`` with a space (unspoken of course), this must be it: KKJQ, 100 kW, 244m, Garden City KS, listed ``Q 97 FM``, 198 miles/318 km.
This is a good example of how one must outwit the search funxions with all possible varieties of what sounds like a simple explicit slogan.
106.3, May 28 at 1948 UT, ad for Wichita Falls, so Texas not Kansas. WTFDA DB shows KBZS, 50 kW/129m, The Buzz, but PS Info as KZBS instead. Who made the typo? FCC FM Query agrees it is really KBZS; BTW, FMQ now includes a station logotype, which leads to a profile page without all the tech details, but address, etc. 175 miles/282 km, city-to-city distance. I`d rather hear much closer KGOU Norman, public radio on 106.3, but it`s only 6 kW, 88.7 m HAAT (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
