5850 & 7730, Dec 26 at 0601 & 0702, WRMI remains off the overnight frequencies which had been relaying RAE, starting in Japanese, then English; too bad, as were always VG if one were awake to hear them. ** ASCENSION. 5960, Dec 26 at 0647, Dandal Kura for Nigeria without the hum, which was also clear last night, while 6005 BBCWS in English is still humming. Thought maybe a transmitter swap with another frequency, such as 5925 which now has a similar hum with French, but this hour the site is Issoudun RFI per HFCC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 6000, UT Mon Dec 25 at 0612, RHC is suptorted as `DXers Unlimited` is starting; // 6165 is S9 of dead air, easifying audibility of Arabic from Japan via France underneath. Something`s always wrong at RHC.

** CUBA. 14961, 15029, 15097, 15166, 15233, 15302, 15438, 15507, 15576, Dec 25 at 1359, filthy distorted spurblobs out of 15370 RHC transmitter which as usual sounds fine on the fundamental; these at approx. 68-69 kHz intervals out to 6x below but 3x above. ** MADAGASCAR [and non]. 11610, Dec 25 at 2135, MWV Chinese with English lesson about snow and birth of Jesus; after some neat Chinese percussion, off at 2158, but wait, there`s still a JBA carrier on 11610: that must be KSDA Guam scheduled to ensue in Vietnamese.
11790, Dec 25 at 2200, MWV now here in Arabic, both VG signals. What a pity Madagascar sites are not used by anystation for secular broadcasts to North America, they work so well from the near-antipodes (Glenn Hauser, ok, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NIGERIA [non]. 11530, Dec 25 at 1920, WRMI is not yet on, no Radio Biafra any more, but at 1929 in the IS & ID loop before ``top of hour`` programming. 1930 opening R. Herwa International. Is it also on 9580 via FRANCE, like the ex-Biafra hour was? JBA carrier here, but good on UTwente, ID at 1934, while 11530 is inaudible there.
Strangely enough, this Herwa broadcast is as yet unknown to Aoki/NDXC and Observer. HFCC does show 87 degree azimuth for WRMI 11530 at 05-06 and 19-20, which is what it should have been all along toward Africa, altho not confirmed on WRMI`s own skedgrid. EiBi of Dec 23 does have Radio Herwa at 1930-2000 on 11530, following my discovery of it Dec 22.
11530, again Dec 26 at 1925, no signal, but by 1929 the ``ToH` IS & ID loop, and 1930 R. Herwa International starting. This is still not on the WRMI schedules (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1910, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Maybe it`s just back for these two hours, 21-23? ** U S A. 5085, Dec 25 at 1540, WTWW-2 is on much later than usual with Xmasmx, but not on 12105 this time, nor 9930. By 1923, 12105 is audible VP, while 9930 is VG.

** U S A. 9229.67 approx., Dec 26 at 1502, S3 dirty spur matching modulation of 9370 WWRB, and readable in AM mode, not SSB. Frequency measured in ``resting`` position, since it varies with the modulation. Then found another match on hi side, but much weaker, about 9510.35, i.e. plus and minus about 140.34 kHz.
Have not noticed any such spurs when same transmitter is on 3185 at night, but if at same offset, would be: 3325.34 and 3044.66. Or, if the offset be proportional to the frequency, i.e. roughly one-third as far on the 90m band: plus and minus 47.7 kHz, or 3137.3 and 3232.7 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** VATICAN. 6070, Dec 26 at 0651, startled to hear S9+20/10 bigsig with organ music, Adeste Fideles, Vatican ID, way over poor CFRX which off-frequency minus, causes a fast SAH. VR has suddenly reactivated supposedly abandoned frequency, for Latin mass broadcast at 0630-0715; temporarily? Alan Roe in England was hearing it too and also on 7250. Kai Ludwig suggests it`s a last gasp of the SMG SW site which is due to be dismantled (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1910, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
