** BRAZIL. 11780.007, Dec 19 at 2119, RNA is S8 to S9+10 but somewhat undermodulated, no spurs or distortion, almost on-frequency. Nothing on 6180 now but if 11780 be unheard before 2200, try it (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 11390, Dec 19 at 1357, JBA carrier. I am about to compare it to 11670 and 11950 as an RHC leapfrog, when 11390 goes off at 1358*; and 11670 is scheduled to close circa 1400 too. Something`s always wrong at RHC. Not to be confused with Marconi Radio International, low-power Italian, which sometimes publicizes 11390 on short notice (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1909, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 11735-11785, Dec 19 at 1410, RHC 11760 transmitter is distorted and splattering out to plus/minus 25 kHz. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** GUATEMALA. 4055, Dec 19 at 1338, TGAV is JBA with talk, as the sun is rising here (allegedly, behind the fog/clouds) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** MARSHALL ISLANDS. 1098, Dec 19 at 1333, JBA carrier on the R75 with E-W longwire, no doubt V7AB, which leaves it on all night, after sign-off circa 1130(?). I was first checking 1017 kHz for Tonga which reportedly just started doing the same, but could not detect it. (846 Kiritimati signs off much earlier and does not leave carrier on, so no sunrise DX from it) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NEW ZEALAND [and non]. 7390, Dec 19 at 1348, RNZI is OK on second day of new frequency, but there is a huge S9+20/30 open carrier on adjacent 7385. As long as it`s not modulating, NZ is unmarred even with LSB tuning. 7385 is obviously WHRI, which FCC has registered here until 1400. WHR own site shows Angel 6 at 1300-1600 is OFF 7385 weekdays for maintenance, but ON with programming, Saturdays and Sundays. Ivo in Bulgaria from his vantage point says there is also ACI to NZ from China on both sides; so yet another QSY may be called for (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1909, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** OMAN. 15140, Dec 19 at 1416, pop music at S3-S7, poor but better than usual from RSO English hour; never in really well enough for entertainment (and who needs western pop from there?) Mark Taylor, WI in NASWA Flashsheet heard them announcing at end of English hour, 1459 Dec 16, that they ``will be suspending transmissions until 1/7/18, then will resume on another frequency``. I wonder if the QSY refer to FM 90.4 source rather than SW? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1909, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** SOUTH CAROLINA [and non]. 9455, Dec 19 at 0209, Brother Scare, but a much younger old recording; apparently from the late 80s, referring to the State of Israel starting 40 years ago. More of same, sometimes otherhuxters, on the usual TOM frequencies. Such as 3185 WWRB Dec 19 at 1335. Someone is still running the radio output.
In case you haven`t heard, BS has been arrested and charged again. Local newspapers are covering it. From

Jay Novello found this on Dec 18, excerpt:
``Preacher Ralph Gordon Stair, 84, was arrested by Colleton County sheriff's deputies Monday morning, and State Law Enforcement Division agents were serving a search warrant at the Overcomer Ministry, which is located on a rural property tucked off S.C. Highway 61, said Lt. Tyger Benton.
Authorities said Stair is charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, one count of assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, one count of kidnapping, one count of burglary in the first degree, one count of second-degree assault and one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Following his arrest, Stair waived his right to appear before a magistrate for a bond hearing Monday afternoon.
The Post and Courier confirmed that Stair has been the subject of a wide-ranging state and federal criminal investigation — including the involvement of the FBI in the probe — since October. Benton said that the Department of Homeland Security, SLED and the Sheriff's Office were on scene during an early-morning raid of the premises.``

Both are expected to be updated. This is hardly surprising, since videos emerged a few weeks ago of Stair openly groping girls during Tabernacle services. Stair had been talking about going off the air at yearend, not due to prosecution, but funding and god`s will. If he does not quit, will US SW stations now have the courage/excuse to be rid of him once and for all? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1909, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

WORLD OF RADIO 1909 monitoring: this week, as is my objective every week, I am finished early enough on Tuesday for the first, rather than last weekly broadcast to emanate at 2030 Dec 19 when WRMI is running three frequencies, 7780, better 9455, best 11580; also repeated at 2130 on 9455 only. By 2127, I notice that 9455 closing Wavescan, has a SAH, no doubt from ChiCom jamming and/or RFA in Chinese via Saipan; also more obvious when WRMI/WOR fades a bit during rest of hour, but still well readable and atop. ** U S A. 9395 // 9455, Dec 19 at 0630, WRMI Oldies with Beach Boys? song about ``two girls for every boy``. I never listen to this for any length of time, just tune across, but am sure I have encountered this tune many times before, making me wonder just how limited their playlist may be? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 12105, Dec 19 at 0634, music VP S2-S4, must be WTWW still with Xmasmx all the time, and that includes the nightmiddle when hardly propagating. We were wondering why they weren`t running this on WTWW-2 9930 daytime frequency for better coverage; by 2122 Dec 19 check, 12105 is off, and indeed after AWOL for weeks, 9930 is on with Xmasmx at S9+30/40. 9475 also on with SFAW but we have still never heard all three transmitters on the air at once (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. A bit of area tropo UHF DTV DX here, having had hardly any earlier in the fall; today there is fog in the region, and unseasonably warm temps. Dec 19 at 1458 my UHF DTV bandscan, which I perform whenever there is even a slight chance of DX, finds BAD signals on RF 9, 11, 18, 22, 30, 34, 35, 36, 42, 47, and decodes on:
RF 26, KSAS 24, Wichita KS
RF 19, KQCW 20, Muskogee (Tulsa) OK
RF 28, KFDX-DT, 3, Wichita Falls TX
RF 31, KDCU-DT 32, Derby (Wichita) KS
RF 35, KMTW-DT, 36, Hutchinson (Wichita) KS
RF 45, KSNW-DT, 3, Wichita KS
Virtual channel 3 was especially interesting as the STB mixes in KFDX and KSNW from different RF channels:
3-2, KJBO-DT and Telemundo
3-3, Laff and Ion
Back in the analog era, of course, it was not unusual here to have KFDX and KSNW (né KARD-TV) mixing on 3. WF is somewhat further than W (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
