Noticing that the HJDH stations on 5910v and 6010v have not been heard for some
weeks, I inquired of their QSL manager about the situation:

Saludo, Mr. Hauser:
A principios de año Martin Stendal estuvo vinculado
por la Fiscalía Colombiana en una investigación por supuesto apoyo que él
brindaría a la guerrilla colombiana de la FARC. Fue acusado por dos
ex-guerrilleros, que buscando beneficios económicos y judiciales, incriminaron a
Martin. La investigación determinó que la labor que él desarrolla en ninguna
manera podría interpretarse como apoyo al FARC, ya que lo que él realiza es
precisamente evangelizar y buscar la paz de Colombia.
Dentro de las
acusaciones se mencionaba que utilizaba las emisoras en onda corta para dar
mensajes en clave, algo que no fue comprobado pero igual durante el tiempo que
duró la investigación se prefirió mantener apagadas las estaciones. Ya para
finales de mayo se le exoneró de cualquier acusación.
Él sufrió también
la perdida de su padre quien fue quien inició la labor evangélica acá en
Colombia.
Luego de esto, realmente no he podido tener contacto directo
con él; según me informan, ha decidido esperar a que todo el tema de la
investigación se calme y actualmente no se encuentra en Colombia. La
organización decidió realizar un mantenimiento preventivo a los equipos que ya
presentaban algunas fallas, pero se sumó un constante problema que se tiene en
la zona donde se ubican los transmisores y es el fluido eléctrico (altibajos,
ausencia, etc.) por lo cual luego del mantenimiento se optó por mantenerlos
apagados hasta que se regularice la situación, así sea a través de una planta
eléctrica alimentada por Diesel.
En realidad no tengo información oficial
que vayan a dejar las emisiones en onda corta, pero toda la labor que Martin y
su organización desarrollan está atravesando cambios. Confío que el algún
próximo momento reactiven las transmisiones.

Earlier this year
Martin Stendal was linked by the Colombian Attorney General in an investigation
for alleged support he would give the Colombian guerrillas of the FARC. He was
accused by two former guerrillas seeking economic and legal benefits,
incriminating Martin. The investigation determined that the work he carried out
in no way could be interpreted as support for the FARC, because what he does is
just evangelize and seek peace in Colombia.
Among the accusations, it was
mentioned that he used the shortwave broadcasters to send encrypted messages,
something that was not proven but during the period of the investigation he
preferred to keep them off the air. At the end of May he was exonerated of any
accusations.
He also suffered the loss of his father, who started the
evangelical work here in Colombia.
After that I could not really have
direct contact with him. I am informed he has decided to wait until all the
investigation calms down and he is not currently in Colombia.
The
organization decided to perform preventive maintenance on the equipment which
already had some flaws, but an ongoing problem in the area where the
transmitters are located is the electricity supply (ups and downs, absence,
etc.). After the maintenance it was decided to hold off until the situation is
regularized, through a power plant fueled by diesel.
Actually I have no
official information about ceasing broadcasts on shortwave, but all the work
that Martin and his organization developed is going through changes. I am
confident that sometime soon they will reactivate transmissions.
