The ZENIT news agency, in its dispatch of today reports that Vatican News (ex-Vatican Radio) will resume its shortwave broadcasts in Portuguese for Brazil, as of August 1-st, 2019. This move is in the context of the Synod for the Amazonian region, which will be held between the 6-th and the 27-th of October. Vatican News hopes, in this way, to reach a target audience of more than 25 million people, which do not have easy access to the new technologies. (Cristian Mocanu via Bclnews mailing list)
