TWR Africa Shortwave Cutbacks

SHORTWAVE CUTBACKS

Due to financial constraints as a result of the current global economic crisis, Trans World Radio has had to reduce the number of hours that we broadcast on short wave in English to southern Africa in order to wisely utilize our available resources. As a result, we have cut an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening. From 3 May 2009, the morning short wave broadcasts will end at 10:00 and the evening short wave broadcasts will end at 22:00 except on Saturdays, when it ends at 22:30. This reduction is considered as a temporary measure and we hope to resume broadcasts as soon as we are able. Many Africans, especially in rural areas, rely solely on radio as their means of information. The short wave cutbacks mean that they will lose valuable hours of Christian teaching. Please prayerfully consider how you might partner with us to spread the gospel in Africa. Become a Friend of Trans World Radio by contributing financially to our ministry through Givengain.
