** CUBA [and non]. 6165, Sept 20 at 0300, RHC is absent, leaving 6159.949 WBCQ with Area 51 JL and then WOR, in the clear! Splashless. RHC not on alt. 6145 either. Both V of Korea and CRI are scheduled this hour in English, but accents seem Americanish rather than stilted, so I assume CRI, which is more day-path than from Korea North; via Urumqi in the land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems,

** ETHIOPIA [and non]. 7110, Sept 21 at 0356, Horn-of-Africa music, 0359 announcement, IS? repeating a few times; 0400 three bells and continuous talk, presumably news on the hour. This first appeared Sept 6 per IAEU Intruder Watch, and then a lengthy discussion of what it could be - Somalia? Eritrea? Ethiopia. Some recognized it as R. Ethiopia. In Europe they were mostly reporting it after 1800. Ron Howard has had it in California by longpath circa 1500. I figured it might sign on at 0300, but nothing yet. Then saw someone reported it starting at 0400, but as above, already on before then today. WRTH 2021 shows NO SW frequencies for EBC/R. Ethiopia, the main government station, tho there are for various regionals on the 6 MHz band. I`m getting it first via Maryland remote at S5-S6, and then UTwente S9/+10. Intermittent LSB QRhaM in the exclusive ``40m`` hamband worldwide. From 0412 a Slavic ham overrides it on same frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 11940, Sept 20 after 2200, token M/W/F English from REE this Monday: 11940 back on air to SAm, good strength, but ailing with modulation distorted and breaking up! Second only to 17855 VG to NAm. 15520 to ME is unusually JBA, allowing poor 11670 for Af to rate as better rather than worst. All via Maryland SDR, which gets them all better than I in deep North America. Recheck direct at 2355, 17855 has faded to a JBA carrier, 15520 & 11670 are off, leaving us nothing but the very distorted 11940 at S2-S5. ** TURKEY. 6165, Sept 20 at 0310, VOT English to S Asia, normally blocked by RHC English, but that`s absent and not on 6145 either. Weak S7-S8 but slightly better by 0330; and by 0352 recheck recovered by RHC resumed 6165. VOT also INTRUDING on // 7275 to NAm (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U K [non]. 11825, Sept 20at 2333, something in English, poor S0-S2. Listed this hour only BBC via Tinang, PHILIPPINES for Indonesia. That`s nice but I daresay there are more English speaking listeners over here, far from armchair (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: confirmed Sunday September 19 at 2019 the 2000 on IRRS SW via Italia AM, 918 kHz, S9+35 into nearby Noale SDR.
Also confirmed Sun Sept 19 at 2230 on WRMIs: 9955 S9+10; 5950 S9+20 into Georgia SDR. 2243 check direct, 9955 S9+10/20 with no jamming audible; 5950 S8-S9 and noisy.
Also confirmed UT Mon Sept 20 at 0030 on WRMIs direct: 7730, 9395, 9455 all very good.

Also confirmed UT Mon Sept 20 from 0302:42 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160 minus 51 Hz per SAM at Maryland SDR = 6159.949, S9. JL had run a bit over. FREE of QubaRM as 6165 is OFF - and not on 6145 either. 6165 does bear weak S7-S8 V of Turkey, English to S Asia, // 7275 NAm. No problem at first but 0329 recheck, WOR/WBCQ/A51 has faded *way down to JBA, and now even TRT provides some splash as it has faded up a bit. Next, no chances on Tuesday, but:
