AIR Dibrugarh to close MW?

According to  news published in the leading Assamese news paper The Dainik Janambhumi,  Prasar Bharati is planning to close the 300 kW Medium Wave transmitter of AIR Dibrugarh in Assam State transmitting on 567 kHz.

It may be noted that AIR Dibrugarh is using a new DRM transmitter commissioned on 31 Jan 2016 (only less than 5 years old) !
