Radio Six International - August transmission failed but we'll be here in September

Our planned shortwave broadcast on 1st August didn't happen because the link between Glasgow and Rohrbach failed at the last minute.

We were very disappointed not to be able to reach our shortwave fans, although the show was broadcast on FM in New Zealand and of course it was online so we still picked up listeners in a number of the 201 countries that our online service reaches.

Fingers crossed that the link doesn't go down for our September broadcast on Saturday 5th. As usual Tony Currie will host "Saturday Sounds" live from our studios in Scotland for two hours of interesting and engaging music from around the world, along with your letters, emails and reception reports. 6,070kHz is the frequency, 10kW is the power, Rohrbach, Germany is the TX location and 22:00 to 24:00 UTC is the time. Online at www.radiosix.com and on World FM transmitters in New Zealand.

Email the studio live during the show: tony@radiosix.com
