Missed the first part; only one other item, about Iowa caucuses before 1505 `World Today` discussion, calling up scholars(?) in Glasgow and Barcelona who appear to be great admirers of China. Something`s always wrong at RHC.
Off topic on the IRCA MW iog, and quoted on WOR 2020, Phil Karn explains: ``I'm thinking of how these spurs could have been generated. Given that they seemed to be centered around the main transmission, I can easily see how a conventional plate-modulated class-C AM transmitter could develop spurious oscillations that would appear as harmonically related sidebands of the main signal, with the varying high voltage (due to the modulation) frequency modulating those spurious emissions.
