Glenn Hauser logs April 24-25, 2017

** INDONESIA. 9525-, April 24 at 1423 check, VOI absent again today, no carrier detectable (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** JAPAN [non]. 11985, April 24 at 2029, S9-S6 open carrier, 2030 NHK World R. Japon opening in French via MADAGASCAR. At least something is making it thru with rather dismal propagation conditions, marred further here by my line noise problem (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 91.1 FM, April 24 at 1717 UT check, KKRD Enid, 200-watt station, is still off the air as first noted three days ago following a storm. Still off April 25. Its antenna is on the Broadway Tower in downtown Enid. Once a respected office building, new owners got it for a song and were trying to convert it into a hotel, but now it`s decrepit, with both elevators padlocked! Maybe no one wants to climb the stairs (14? floors) to restart the transmitter? Part of the external facing cracked off last year, and just recently there was a fire in a transformer just outside the building.

This opens 91.1 for 100 kW stations in Wichita KS, KCFN, with AFR, and in Lawton OK, KJRF, another gospel huxter, but not heard yet, both in 100+ mile range. And much to be preferred, 100 kW High Plains Public Radio, KANZ Garden City KS, but just too far on internal antennas.

90.9, KOKF Edmond OK is still on with Air One contemporary Christian music, rather than the talk show I logged before, 1717 UT April 24.

89.1, K206CA, Enid, Oasis Network translator of 90.5 KNYD (or really 88.1 KMSI??) has been restored after running dead air at last check.

92.1, KAMG-LP, Enid remains off the air as of April 25. Last heard carrier on March 10, no modulation for a long time before then. WTFDA DB now shows its horizontal and vertical powers both as 0.0 kW, certainly appropriate.

104.7, KQSN, Ponca City, April 24 at 1903 UT, ID as ``KQSN, Ponca City, Sunny 104.7`` and *one* minute of Fox News until 1904 resuming music.

105.5, K288FX, North Enid, K-love translator of KYLV 88.9, is still off the air April 25, as first noticed April 21 after storms (it`s really in East Enid).

105.7, KRDR Alva, 50 kW now easily heard with 105.5 local off, is no longer ESPN, but hard rock/rap, April 24 at 1900 UT, ``We are The Pulse. . .`` and K-calls not copied. April 25 at 1546 UT: ``The Pulse, 105.7 FM``

WTFDA DB identifies it with sibling? station: ``COYOTE COUNTRY 98.3 KQZQ``. Radio-locator shows: ``KRDR-FM 105.7 MHz Alva, Oklahoma "ESPN Radio 105.7" Format: Sports Website: none``

But google search leads to this:
which has nothing but current sports news on it

Also to this FB, but nothing new since June 2016:

We would much prefer to hear on 105.7, KROU Spencer, public radio relay of KGOU Norman, but it`s only 1.6 kW, and can`t overcome KRDR until about Kingfisher on US 81 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1874 monitoring: confirmed Monday April 24 at 2330 on WBCQ 9330.35v-CUSB, good. Also confirmed UT Tuesday April 25 at 0030 on WRMI, 7730, VG S9+20. Also barely confirmed Tuesday April 25 at 1114 the 1100 broadcast on WRMI 9955; at least it sounds like me, mixed with equally weak pulse jamming. Still no 9455. Next:
Tue 2130   WRMI 15770 to NE, 9455? to WNW
Tue 2330   WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Wed 1030   WRMI 5850 to NW, 9455? to WNW
Wed 1315.5 WRMI 9955 to SSE
Wed 2100   WBCQ 7490v to WSW
Wed 2330   WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Note: 9455 is still not activated as of April 25, and when it is, unclear whether will still be // 9955, 15770 and 5850 at above WOR times like former 6855 was (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 9455, April 24 at 1424 check, still no signal from WRMI-5, supposed to reactivate here ex-6855, altho we are well past ``next week`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15151.50-USB, April 25, 2017 at 1338, 2-way in Spanish INTRUDERS. Previously logged on 15151.0-USB: at 1455 UT Dec 5, 2014; at 0045 UT Sept 26, 2014; at 1426 UT Oct 30, 2013; at 1458 UT Oct 19, 2009; and at 1519 UT October 23, 2006 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
