** ANGUILLA. 11775, Wed Aug 29 at 1259, CB is on with PMS on TUN. Evidently has gone back to irregular schedule anyday, after a spell on local Sun & Mon only. But 11775 is off again at 1842 check. 6090 is off again at 0437 UT Thu Aug 30 check. 11775 is on again at 1353 Aug 30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** BANGLADESH. 15505, Aug 30 at 1356, Bangladesh Betar is already on with 1 kHz tone --- best I`ve heard it in ages. Tone stops at 1358:15 and lovely haunting interval signal starts a few seconds later, repeating multiply until 5+1 mis-timesignal ending at 1400:08, and announcement starting Urdu service to the former west wing (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** AUSTRIA. 11880, Aug 29 at 2109, very poor talk at S0-S1, maybe French? No, AWR English via Moosbrunn is scheduled until 2130; before RHC takes over circa 2200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** BRAZIL. 5035, Aug 29 at 0627, JBA carrier with fades. I suppose it has to be one of the ZYs, more likely R. Aparecida. By now the ACI splash from 5040 Cuba is off, allowing at least this much to be detected (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 13700, Aug 29 at 1301, RHC cuts on and off during attempt at frequency announcement; by 1308 stays on, but fails to accompany with panoply of FM signals across the band. Something`s always wrong at RHC.
6000, UT Thu Aug 30 at 0637, RHC English is again suptorted here; 6100 = 6165 undermodulated but not distorted; only 6060 is VG as `Arts Roundup` is starting. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA [non]. 7435, Aug 30 at 0423, R. Martí with electronic/keyboard music, no announcements, pauses between trax, only during which some jamming is audible vs S9+25. Same on // 7335, and 6030. I keep listening the rest of the hour to this very strange ``programming`` for RM. Including repeats of some of the same tunes! Now I`m convinced Greenville has lost program feed from Miami studio and is filling with this, which continues even past 0500, altho 7435 to 7365 QSY happens on time with a 28-second break before 7365 cuts back on at *0500:00 sharp with carrier, rejoining others with music at 0500:27. By 0641 final check, both 7 MHz signals have faded way down below the jamming level, but 6030 is back to programming with talk and clips of music videos. For fun at 0453 I also tried 1180 to // the music, but the only QRM to the echoey Rebeldeblast was English, probably WHAM.
11860, the new Martí frequency at 14-22, colliding head-on with RHC after 1930, is also supposedly employed in the nightmiddle at 07-10 according to Ivo. During awake chex at 0704 & 0915 Aug 30, it is inaudible, but hardly expected to propagate here or there. OCB has still failed to register it at all in the latest HFCC files as of 29 August. At those hours, something even below 6 MHz band would be much more effective: propagation 101 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** GUATEMALA. 4055, Aug 29 at 0632, carrier still on and seemingly open, from R. Truth (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** KIRITIMATI. 846, Aug 29 at 0629, JBA carrier yet audible thru storm noise, from R. Kiribati no doubt. Also August 30 as early as 0456. Gaisma.com claims sunset at Ronton (London), Xmas Island is 19:34 local minus 12 for UT = 0734! But
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/kiribati/kiritimati
shows this part of Kiribati is on UT +14 (which = Hawaii UT -10 on other side of dateline!), sunset at 18:34 local minus 14 = 0434 UT! So gaisma is all wrong about this one. And so is WRTH 2018, implying it`s all UT+12; at presstime there was no 846 but there was FM (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** MEXICO. 6185, Aug 30 at 0431, S9+20 Spanish quite undermodulated, but turning up volume with ECSS helps, drama mentioning UNAM, and 0436 Radio Educación ID which XEPPM is still using on Mexico`s only SWBC station left standing (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** SOLOMON ISLANDS. 5020, Aug 29 at 0630, JBA carrier presumed SIBC where it`s almost Honiara sunset at 0718. Nothing yet from 4835 Queensland, which Manuel Méndez says he detected in Spain this early, longpath. We have 4840 WWCR with which to contend, but sometimes MUF falling below (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** SUDAN SOUTH [non]. 11620, Aug 30 at 0415, Eye Radio via MADAGASCAR this hour M-F, YL in heavily African-accented English very hard to understand, news mentioning Juba, S5 with deep fades. (Since there are multiple mutually incomprehensible native African languages influencing how English be spoken, one would assume various other Africans would also have a hard time understanding a different ESL version, right? Everyone should strive for an American accent as compromise, hi) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A [non]. 7375, Aug 30 at 0424, VOA via BOTSWANA talking about an ECOWAS radio station in English, French, Portuguese, something new, maybe on SW?? But soon on to another topic about domestic violence against women in Sénégal.
Searching finds news that the Economic Community of West African States got a radio station in Monrovia, Liberia, in March 2018. It had been a UN station, then transferred to ECOWAS. WTFK, FM only? WRTH had UNMIL Radio on 91.5 in Monrovia, plus three others elsewhere. Searching voanews.com on ecowas radio gets no recent hits (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1945 monitoring: barely confirmed, Wed Aug 29 at 2103 on WBCQ 7490+, VP in noise level, gh voice recognized but only presumed it`s the latest edition --- until 2114 when my rotating mid-show catchprase is the one I utter this week, ``the media magazine you monitor with your mind``!
But once again this week, 9955 WRMI is OFF past 2100, until *2102 Wed Aug 29, JIP WOR a sesquiminute late; could they start turning on this transmitter a few minutes earlier?? At S6-S7; 9395 was already on at S7-S8. Next:

** U S A. 9455, UT Thu Aug 30 at 0058, WRMI is on with weekly BS emission on this frequency, ID, at 0100 over to weekly `Hal Turner` 2-hour talkshow starting with wacky disclaimer, and now // 7490 WBCQ staying on late this night only. He announces these two SW stations and ONE other affiliate: 540 KYAH in Delta UT --- the same one carrying WTWW`s UT Sunday midnight show, 13 watts at night. But KYAH can legally run day power 1 kW until 0230 UT in August; only -0145 in September (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 7730, Aug 30 at 0420, WRMI in Spanish so colloquial I wonder if it`s really Spanish, or Italian? No, heavy porteño accent as someone is being interviewed about Radio Mitre, during `La Rosa de Tokio` as now scheduled this hour on UT Thursdays (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 15610 & 12050, Aug 29 at 2108, no signals from WEWN English or Spanish. Possibly propagation? Maybe on the higher one, but I don`t think so. Something`s frequently wrong at WEWN; or could be closedown during storm or mowing (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 92.7, Aug 29 at 1512 UT, ``The New 92-7, The Blast``, i.e. KWME Wellington KS, as already listed by WTFDA DB with 14 kW H&V, 130m HAAT, so how ``new`` is it? Format designation as ``rhythmic oldies``. (Show me an Oldie, or any pop music, without rhythm?) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. 4170-USB, Aug 30 at 0446, surprised to hear some 2-way, maybe Greek or Spanish, atop my local third harmonic of KCRC 1390. It`s within a marine comms band, but is 4170 for anything in particular? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. 4810, Aug 30 at 0443, JBA carrier again sideswiped by huge utehash on the upper side. I`ve reported this at least twice recently and no one has replied to my inquiry whether it could be Radio Logos, Perú, the only likely broadcaster at this hour, if it`s active, rather than Armenia or India (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. 7581.40, Aug 30 at 0422, open carrier at S9, some fades. Maybe ute (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. 14018-LSB, Aug 29 at 1253, very poor 2-way, unknown language. Presumably INTRUDERS as hams would not be in phone here in the CW portion of 20m band, nor would they not be in USB (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
