Vanuatu

VANUATU, observed last days via SDR Kiwi remote receivers in New Zealand, Radio Vanuatu seems to be on air 24 hours per day on 3945 kHz, other frequecies, 2485, 5040 and 7260 are inactive now. At certain times, day time, 3945 kHz is inaudible in New Zealand, but can be heard with good to fair signal on 11835 and with fair to weak signal on 7890 (harmonics). Here in Spain, Vanuatu on 11835 kHz is inaudible, like 3945 and 7890.

They are on 24 hours due to a Cyclone that has gone through parts of the country . The transmitting balun has a fault from debris after the Cyclone creating spurious emissions on other frequencies. Yes I like 25 metres as a frequency because I can hear it here in Gunnedah NSW during the daytime with clarity. They have been presenting 24 hour information from the Government and other agencies. They also has a lot of their food sources wiped out. Aid has been sent from Australia but with no personel to help , due to the pandemic. They have to distribute the aid themselves which apparently has been a little slow in reaching some areas. (nri3 via groups.io)
