IRRS 7290 kHz is NOT via Romania

Only two of the three Țigănești transmitters are currently operational (TIG-tx2 and TIG-tx3).

For some years, only TIG-tx1 and TIG-tx2 (both used by RRI) were operational, while TIG-tx3 (reserve) was not ready for operation. This explains why in the past years, most RRI transmissions via TIG-tx1 were cancelled when TIG-tx1 had technical problems, since TIG-tx3 was not ready for use. However, a few RRI broadcasts were transmitted via Săftica (SAF) in such cases.

In the context of these technical problems with TIG-tx1, it is nevertheless important to point out that the continuity of RRI's broadcasts was not affected, since all Galbeni (GAL) and Țigănești (TIG) transmissions go out on two parallel frequencies. This means that listeners were always able to tune in to the second frequency (via TIG-tx2)!

A few weeks ago, the situation changed: TIG-tx1 is defective again, but TIG-tx3 is finally operational again, and it temporarily carries all frequencies scheduled for TIG-tx1. Hence, RRI is broadcasted on all scheduled frequencies!

There is no free space for the IRRS evening transmissions on 7290 kHz at 1700-1900 UTC, since all available RADIOCOM SW transmitters are used by RRI:

1700-1800 UTC:
GAL-tx1: RRI Ron = 9500 kHz
GAL-tx2: RRI Ron = 11975 kHz
TIG-tx1: currently out of order!
TIG-tx2: RRI Eng = 11850 kHz
TIG-tx3 (replacing TIG-tx1): RRI Eng DRM = 9760 kHz
SAF: RRI Ukr (30 min) & Srp (30 min) = 5910 kHz

1800-1900 UTC:
GAL-tx1: RRI Ron = 9500 kHz
GAL-tx2: RRI Ron = 11975 kHz
TIG-tx1: currently out of order!
TIG-tx2: RRI Deu DRM = 6090 kHz
TIG-tx3 (replacing TIG-tx1): RRI Deu = 9570 kHz
SAF: RRI Ita DRM (30 min) & Rup (30 min) = 5910 kHz

As stated above, all frequencies scheduled for TIG-tx1 [T1] are temporarily transmitted via TIG-tx3 [T3]!

I just got confirmation from Radiocom, that 7290 kHz 1700-1900 is not from them. But I don't think it is possible to get a reply from Bulgarian operators. (Mauno Ritola)
