20:00 – 21:00 UTC Friday 6070 kHz Channel 292 to Europe.

NOTE - 03:00 – 04:00 UTC Monday 5950 kHz WRMI to the US and Canada is a new frequency to improve propagation - was 9455 kHz.

NOTE - Occasionally recently WRMI have slotted in an extra transmission of Encore on 5800 kHz at 03:00 on Saturday morning. If they do it will be the first airing of the new programme. The reason being that I routinely upload the fresh mp3 files on Thursday evening to Channel 292 and WRMI.

NOTE - 03:00 - 04:00 UTC Thursday on 5800 kHz may not be available for Encore for the next two weeks due to scheduling.

NOTE - Apologies for the persistent RTTY on the LSB of the 13:00 UTC transmissions of Encore from WRMI on 15770 audible in parts of northern Europe in recent weeks. Somebody's navy presumably.

Special Broadcast soon:
On December 31, Radio Channel 292 will present a 2-hour special, Neujahrsgrüsse von Radio Channel 292 featuring segments from nine different music programs with classical, jazz, rock, Cuban and volksmusik from 2300-0100 UTC on 3955 (10kw), 6070 (100kw from Moosbrunn) and 9670 (10kw) hHz. It will repeat on all three frequencies at 10kw from 0900-1100 UTC on January 1. Time for the 10kw transmissions was donated by the station. Encore will be providing the classical music.

This week's programme starts with the Sussex Carol and is followed by a piece composed by Bach for Christmas. Then there will be some contemporary music from the American pioneer Milton Babitt. Holst's version of In the Bleak Midwinter arranged for cello and piano follows on. The second part of the programme begins with some Kurtag 'fragments' leading into a piece for Viola by Robert Schumann, part of Handel's Messiah and finally Spiegel im Spiegel composed by Arvo Pärt. I hope you enjoy the variety and juxtapositions.

Channel 292 can be pulled live off the internet if the reception is poor in your location. Easy to find their site with a google search.
