** ALASKA [non]. 7355, Nov 15 at 1400, I am trying to hear the KNLS non-Chariots of Fire IS underneath RNZI news, but cannot. Harold Sellers complained yesterday, ``7355 ALASKA KNLS at 1409 in English, but overwhelmed by strong co-channel RNZI. - Nov 14 Sellers-BC``. Another failure of frequency management: indeed, HFCC shows NZ at 13-17 (rounded off), and AK at 14-15 & 16-18 on 7355 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** ARGENTINA [non]. 5850, Nov 15 at 0711, RAE ATTW via WRMI in English now an hour ``earlier`` off DST, making me more likely to be awake for it and without all the competition at 0200. She is still plugging being able to listen to RAE in the USA via Audio Now on telephone! Rather than SW. Sounds like the same announcement they have been making for 6 months now, promising expansion to Canadá, México; Brasil in Portuguese. Gives the number only once; not a good promotional tactic: should be at least ten times to be sure everyone can get it copied (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 6165 // 6100 // 6060 // 6000, Nov 15 at 0711, RHC finally manages to run all four frequencies and all in English as newly scheduled in one-hour extension. But all are undermodulated except much louder 6060; different site? Not per the detailed site-schedules provided by Arnie in DXLD 17-45: per that, they are all Bauta, except the odd one out, 6000 from Quivicán. One might verify this by comparing echo-delays among them (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA [and non]. 15370, Nov 15 at 1357, RHC not on yet, so 19mb is blessedly free of spurs (and allowing the Buzzing Service of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be heard on 15380); but *1358, 15370 cuts on with Spanish in progress, modulation cuts off and on and off and on, eventually staying on. And now, the filthy spurblobs are back, approx. 15435, 15501, 15566; 15305, 15240, 15175 --- but at least not so big a panoply further out as other days; recheck 1517, spurs still around 15236, 15303, 15437, 15505. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CYPRUS [non]. 9955, Nov 15 at 1401, `Travel Gazette` via WRMI. I listen to most of it today, and am convinced that it`s a very old episode which the automation keeps replaying, lacking any overwrite by newer ones. ``This week`` the major news items are familiar from months before: Australia considering travel ban of laptops; crime rate in Caribbean is up, greater than in Latin America; Easy-Jet redesigned website making it much less usable; Kenya to start direct flights to America by next April, or sometime in the next 12 months! So this ep probably started in April 2017. Closing with the Beatles tune, which is ``Something`` by George Harrison. What a waste. WRMI does keep replaying various other shows which have apparently expired long ago. Is it because they are still paying for airtime, and the repeat content is not WRMI`s problem? Or just neglected to remove them (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** ETHIOPIA [and non]. 7135-7142 and 7175-7185, approx., Nov 15 at 0332, DRM noise jamming detectable here, but no AM carriers from the Eritreans audible amid.
7140, Nov 15 at 1351, JBA carrier from presumed VOBME INTRUDER by long-path, no jamming; but DRMnoise approx. 7169-7175; could that be where the other VOBME is today rather than 7181+v? No carrier from it detectable in either area, and then the QRDRM goes off. (Meanwhile 7120 carrier from Hargeisa, Somaliland, longpath is much stronger.) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NEW ZEALAND. 7355, Nov 15 at 1404, pause amid news plugging how to file a formal complaint against RNZ (how helpful!), back to weather. No QRM from KNLS which buries itself under this signal (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** TAIWAN. 7295.05 approx., Nov 15 at 1354, note an off-frequency carrier on the hi side, hetting an on-frequency one, but goes off by 1355 before I can measure it more accurately. HFCC has a likely candidate, 1330-1357 [sic], Babcock in Japanese, 300 kW, 352 degrees from Taiwan. But what is it, really? Consult NDXC/Aoki: Furusato no Kaze, 1330-1357, but in this case allegedly 300 kW, 2 degrees from Paochung, Taiwan site. And what else at this hour? No broadcaster except imaginary Yakutsk in HFCC. But 7295 is a favorite AM frequency for American hams (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** TURKEY. 6125.06, Nov 15 at 0412, VOT in English to N America is only poor, but pretty close to on-frequency. The // to Asia, 7240, is not audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U A E. 7285.096, Nov 15 at 0335, VP carrier obviously off-frequency. HFCC shows BBCWS in Arabic, 03-04 via DHA, 250 kW, 255 degrees. This site has developed a well-deserved reputation for frequency-inaccuracy, yet BBC keeps using it. But at 04-05 the next 7285 hour is back to Woofferton. (And at 05-07, 7285 belongs to Radio Sonder Grense, Zuid Afrika, the shoulder channel between night on 3320, day on 9650.) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1904 monitoring: I happen to wake up just before 1030 Wed Nov 15 so check WRMI: yes, WOR on 5850 at S9+30 and // 9455 at a respectable S9. Also confirmed Wed Nov 15 at 1415 on WRMI, 9955, in the clear, no jamming, but ACI from 9950, and then 9960 as described last week. Next:

UNIDENTIFIED. 7205, Nov 15 at 1354, song at S5-S6. I might expect Sudan by longpath since I am getting Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somaliland on 41m. Incredibly, literally, HFCC B-17 shows all these possibilities just before 1400 besides ALF Sudan: VOR in Russian via Moskva, and/or Tchita; CNR in Uighur from Urumqi, CRI in Chinese from Beijing; MIC from Japan (such as Sea Breeze)(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
