Geomagnetic
activity forecast for the period March 10 - March 16, 2017
Quiet: Mar
10 - 15
Unsettled: Mar 10 - 11, 15 - 16
Active: possible Mar 16
Minor
storm: possible Mar 16
Major storm: 0
Severe storm: 0
Geomagnetic
activity summary:
Hand-to hand with solar wind velocity decrease, the
geomagnetic activity
is turning to quiet conditions although we observed some
isolated active
episodes (at Budkov observatory, K=4 had been observed March
4, 5, 6 and
8), except of this, the activity was at most to quiet to
unsettled level.
Next period, we expect at most quiet to unsettled conditions
till March
16. This day, we expect active episode arrival which can reach
minor storm
level. Till this, especially between March 11 and 14, we expect
quiet
conditions.

Geomagnetic activity forecast for the period March 10 - April 5,
2017
Geomagnetic field will be:
quiet on March 14 - 15, 21, 26
mostly quiet on March 10 - 13, 20
quiet to unsettled March 16, 22, 25,
April 4
quiet to active on March 18 - 19, 24, 27 - 29, 31, April 1 - 3,
5
active to disturbed on March 17, 23, 30
Amplifications of the solar
wind from coronal holes are expected
on March (20 - 22,) 23 - 27, (April 3 -
8)
Remark:
- Parenthesis means lower probability of activity
enhancement and/or
lower reliability of prediction.
