** BANGLADESH. 15505, July 27 at 1357, BB JBA carrier with tone, then IS, and TS barely perceptible ending at 1359:31.5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** BRAZIL. 4915, July 27 at 0101, another good night for R. Daqui, Goiânia, best by far of the 60m ZY frequencies with pop song in Portuguese, 0102 timecheck for ``10 e 2``, R. Daqui ID (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CANADA. The sporadic E opening from Ontario, CHBX, SS Marie on channel A2, in previous report had faded out by 1655 UT July 26. But as often happens, the midway ionized patch drifted (scooted) westward, from Illinois to South Dakota, and by 1721 channel 2 is active again but with a different station:
1721 on 2, weak video fades in, now peaking north instead of northeast, so probably CKND-TV-2, Minnedosa, Manitoba; is infomercial about furniture, and fades in enough to make out translucent Global bug in LR.
1730 on 2, no local ID, but change to Entertainment Tonight [sic] Canada, as scheduled; 1747 fades, 1750 back, and out again. Lunchtime.
1809 on 2, fade-in algo, 1810 video flashes by for GLOBAL WINNIPEG.
1823 on 2, another fade-in still with Global bug in LR, talk show roundtable of YLs; yes, it`s THE TALK, from USA as title seen at 1826; nothing further. When in, there was little CCI, as CKND-TV-2 is more isolated geographically from the other few analog twos left (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CHINA. Firedrake [non], CNR1 jamming July 27: poor propagation so the only ones found 12-19 MHz are:
16100, JBA at 1347
12370, JBA at 1348
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** ETHIOPIA [non]. 15165, July 26 at 1944 I look for the new clandestine which per Ivo was on this frequency last Friday and so it is today but very poor signal: variety of speakers in presumed Amharic, and of music until a few seconds after 1959*. Could not make out DRM noise jamming, but probably there. It`s Dimtsachin Yisema, a BRB ex-TDP client apparently via BULGARIA. Saturday`s frequency should be 15175, and Sunday`s, 15150. Anyone have a website and/or address for it? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** KOREA SOUTH. 15575, Saturday July 27 at 1351, KBSWR with Indian DX Report lasting 5:39, more than Kevin O`Donovan ever gets. Part of name seems to be Raj with address in Assam, but he`s hard for a non-Indian to understand. Lots of brief items including history of AIR; Israel Radio off SW, quoting the ex-languages I have seen published somewhere else; Greece, DXAsia.in, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Vietnam, Saudi logs complete with SINPOs (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** MEXICO. 970, July 27 at 0524 UT, soon as I tune across, music stops and ``La Jota Mexicana, 9-70, nunca igualada``, i.e. XEJ Juárez (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** PERU. 5980, July 27 at 0057-0059:44.5*, R. Chaski carrier until autocutoff, which times to only four seconds later than yesterday (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** SERBIA [non]. 9685, July 27 at 0106, IRS is still missing, altho Alan Roe, UK, was hearing 6100, also the 250 kW Bijeljina transmitter, around 1830 July 26. So they just eliminated the N American service??
Dmitry Mezin, Kazan, Russia, replies July 27: ``Hi Glenn, Its European broadcasts are on the air; heard the Russian program on two consecutive days July 25 and 26 at 1800-1830 on 6100. No QRM but severe electrical noise. English service starts at 1830 without any interruption, i.e. on the same antenna`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 6115, July 27 at 0105, bigsig with countryish music, so WWCR is back on its newly acquired frequency, last heard July 22, but a different transmitter this time, since WWCR-1, 3215 is still on the air with same programming. Others are active on 4840, 5935, but not 5890 or 9980. Then to commercial by a preacher, Butch Paugh, hawking some product to protect all your guns. So 6115 has replaced WWCR-4 on 7520 where B.P. is also scheduled UT Tue-Sat 0100-0200 as well as 3215. (On UT Sat/Sun & Sun/Mon, #4 has had a break at 22-03 UT, but will it now?).
Ivo Ivanov says on this date, 6115 stayed on until 0400, picking up BS at 0300, and back to usual 5890 after 0400 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1679 monitoring: confirmed on Area 51 via WBCQ 5110v-CUSB, at 0142 and ending at 0201, so started about 0132. Next: Sat 1500 on WRMI 9955; Sat & Sun 2330v on WTWW-2 9930; UT Sun 0400.5 on WTWW-1 5830;
Tom Taylor says the final HLR test on 15785-CUSB is today Saturday rather than Sunday, at 1500-2000; so presumably including WOR on the half of one of those hours (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 1440, July 27 at 0531 UT, ``Cubs radio network``, PSA starting with avoiding mosquitoes. No doubt it`s WGEM Quincy IL, as on the Cubs roster,
http://www.tribuneradio.com/cubsaffilliates.htm
rather than the second harmonic of flagship WGN
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. 11979, July 27 at 0520-0522+ again no trace of the single-number CW intruder vs very poor Turkey carrier on 11980. There are several digits they never got around to, I was looking forward to copying (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
