Radio Mi Amigo International summer schedule

Only last week we announced the return of Flemish programmes to Radio Mi Amigo International, originally scheduled as a morning show on Fridays.

Even though we had high expectations, again we were blown away by the support of so many fans of the original 70s Radio Mi Amigo tuning in, many of them finding us for the first time. Our new guys (both close friends of Peter van Dam) bring back sweet memories of that successful, notorious Belgian offshore radio station in the 70s, the only one that kept going when all of the other stations stopped.

Johan Vermeer, one of our Dutch jocks, found himself at sea for Radio Mi Amigo in the 70s. Same as our Johnny Lewis who, even though he worked (and still does) for Radio Caroline, sometimes could be heard on Radio Mi Amigo as well: "the only Brit to ever do so", als he fondly remembers.

So it was a no-brainer to reschedule Eric Hofman and Dirk Moerman's live show from Antwerp to the weekend, where on Saturdays and Sundays, it can now be heard next to the other Dutch language shows on our station. Now even more people can enjoy what is fastly becoming a real '2019-incarnation' of the legendary Belgian/Dutch radio station, broadcasting from the good old radio ship 'MV Mi Amigo', after which our station is named.

As we've arrived in the first week of July, we traditionally switch to a Summer Schedule (from July 1st until September), going into effect this weekend.

Upcoming weekend we again welcome Eric Hofman and Dirk Moerman, who will carry on where their good friend Peter van Dam left.

This weekend we also say goodbye to 2 English weekend programmes from our UK colleagues Stuart Vincent and Bob James.
We thank them for all those great programmes they made for us, we whish them well, and hope to welcome them back to our station in the not too distant future.

Expect more exciting news, as we will soon announce the return of well known radio friends and some great radio events we're planning for the coming months. Stay tuned to 'Europe's Nr1 Oldies Station'..!
