** BRAZIL. 9664.956, May 23 at 0540, weak signal from one station with music, no
doubt Voz Missionária without MWV in the way (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 5765, May 23 at 0534, Brother
HyStairical via WRMI here and elsewhere is *not* // to him on 5890 WWCR. I`ve
also noticed WBCQ hours of TOM do not match WRMI. This is not merely
non-synchronized delays, but seemingly totally different feeds now. Possibly a
station losing direct feed plays backup recordings. It`s all BS (Glenn Hauser,

** U S A. 12350-USB, May 23 at 1246, informal
but detailed and authoritative marine weather info for Caribbean yachters,
specifically someone voyaging from St Thomas USVI to Newport, presumably RI.
Forecasts of wind direxions, speeds in knots, sea heights or wave depths in
feet, out to a week ahead, for various coordinates, recommendations where to
enter and exit the Gulf Stream, etc. S7 and completely readable, but I can`t
hear any replies if on same frequency.
1252 switches to forecast for
eastern Caribbean, 1258 ID as ``Chris Parker, Bel Ami Marine Weather Center,
Whisky Charlie Yankee, and says W Caribbean forecast will be on after he takes a
5-minute break. I figure this will be in the EiBi list but it is not. He`s in
Lakeland FL. I`ve logged WCY before as in DXLDs 15-31 and 15-12 from July and
March last year. And also see DXLD 7-069. Much more info here:

** ZAMBIA. 9680, Monday May 23 at 0537, S2 signal with
music, so Voice of Hope got the lizard out of the transmitter and resumes M-F
05-08 UT transmission --- until the next critter or protracted power outage

UNIDENTIFIED. 9585, May 23 at
0541, something new I haven`t encountered before in regular tuning during this
hour: station in French with news about Africa, music bit, European football
scores. Obviously a major station, could even be RFI. Nothing yet in HFCC, EiBi
or Aoki to account for this. It`s S9, quite stronger than 9575 Morocco. Could be
a mis-punch, so will it be there again 24 hours later? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
